Secret Fishing Spot
My Favorite Fishing Spot...Good Luck!
The Stanislaus River on HWY 108 between Dardenelles
& Kennedy Meadows Resorts
Not far from Baker's Station, I have fished 40 years here.
How to get there:
- Use a CA Road Map or Atlas, find HWY 49 (Old Gold Country)
S.E of San Francisco. Locate Sonora, follow HWY 108 E., climbing
up past Twain Hart and beyond. Follow signs to Dardanelles Resort,
and you will find it a few minutes up the highway on the right.
Dardanelles has the nearest telephone for miles. It is a fun place
to stay. When not camping, I have stayed there since 1948. Most
of the buildings are the same. If they are full, try Kennedy
Meadows Resort past the Secret Fishing Spot a few miles on the
Right. This is the area they shot the movie "For Whom The Bell Tolls"
in the 1940s. Dardanelles Resort(209)965-4355, Kennedy Meadows Resort
