This portable station is built into an old two-sided tube caddy, with top storage as well. Access to front, rear and top. Foam Rubber protects the front panels during transit.

I purchased this radio in about 1976, used at the big Ham Radio Swapmeet located off Hwy 280, in SF Bay Area held at Foothill College.
this transceiver is shown with additional accessories. Oakhills QRPp wattmeter, MFJ Audio Filter, TenTec KR-5 keyer, MFJ 300w tuner, low impeadance full headphones and Low impeadance communications microphone.
A 14"x 14" 12v charging Solar Panel with protective cover is packed with this radio.
This rig will probably be buried with me. (Just Kidding!!...i think!) (Sorry for poor photo quality, this is an old Polaroid Photo) I will eventually take some new photos.

NOTE: This radio is still in use in 2009...The Oakhills QRPp meter and MFJ Tuner was replaced with an MFJ QRP Tuner/SWR METER. A second similar project with a TenTec 509 is being constructed.
